Compass' Q2 2026 Brooklyn Market Report

Brooklyn's real estate market performed well in the second quarter despite higher mortgage rates, inflation, and ongoing economic uncertainty. Signed contracts continued to increase, a good indication that buyers remain engaged and the market has momentum heading into the second half of the year.

Condos continue to lead the way, with prices climbing and demand remaining especially strong for luxury properties. At the same time, limited inventory is creating challenges across much of the market, giving well-priced homes an edge and keeping buyers on their toes.

For sellers, the combination of healthy demand and a shortage of listings continues to create favorable conditions. For buyers, Brooklyn still offers excellent long-term value across a wide range of neighborhoods, but preparation and decisiveness remain essential.
