Manhattan's New Listing Lows

If you’ve been waiting for new listings to hit the Manhattan real estate market, you’re going to have to wait a little a longer. Just 165 homes came on the market over the last seven days. That’s even fewer than we saw during the same period last year. Some popular neighborhoods like Greenwich Village, the West Village, and Chelsea had zero.

Does it mean anything? Maybe - or maybe not. August is always slow. We’ll have a better sense in September after Yom Kippur on the 21st. That’s when activity noticeably picks up.
