Manhattan Real Estate Market Update, May 6, 2026
While the number of homes for sale in Manhattan have increased from last month, it's about 8% lower than where we were last year. That makes it tougher for buyers, but does give sellers a little more control.
Meanwhile, the number of contracts signed was pretty steady through April, despite there being fewer homes on the market (and some major global headwinds). It seems like this consistent level of activity could continue over the next weeks.
Recently I've seen properties that sat for on the market for months go into contract, and know of several bidding wars. It's all about having the right combination of offering, pricing, and marketing - and maybe a little luck.
